Loud Women (@loudwomen on Instagram) are an intersectional feminist group ‘for all those who support putting women on stage and turning up the volume.’ Loud Women are a not-for-profit organisation founded by Cassie Fox in 2015. Loud Women are dedicated to amplifying the voices of women and non-binary musicians in the punk, rock, and alternative music scenes. They do this through a variety of initiatives – in the Loud Women chapters across the world they host gigs and hold Loud Women Fest which is a global showcase of the best new female and non-binary talent in the alternative scene, named ‘the antidote to male-heavy festival lineups by NME. Boudica
Boudica (@theonlyboudica on Instagram) is a London-based queer platform that aims to give visibility to Trans+, Non-Binary and Female-Identifying artists working within the electronic music industry. Boudica was founded in 2019 by Samantha Togni and since has grown to become an international club series, music conference and record label. Not only do Boudica hold these non-stop energy club nights, but they have also created the Boudica Music Conference which is in its third year – here they have a one-to-one Mentorship Hub, panel discussions, and DJ workshops. The conference is dedicated to exchanging knowledge in an accessible, safe environment and strives to encourage more Trans+, Female and Non-Binary individuals – especially young people to become involved in the music industry. Girls Don’t Sync (@girlsdontsync on Instagram) are an all female collective of DJs, producers and curators consisting of Matty Chiabi, Sophia Violet, Hannah Lynch and Gaia Ahuja/G33 who exploded onto the house/UKG music scene in 2021. Known for their fresh take on UK garage, house and bass and their vibrant stage presence, Girls Don’t Sync have quickly gained a reputation for revitalizing the UK dance scene. They have performed at major festivals and venues like Glastonbury, The Warehouse Project and Boomtown and have gained fans worldwide for the energy and electric atmosphere they create with their performances.
